I get this same sort of patronizing shale on my electric and water bills. Of course I want to keep my bills to a minimum, so I do read the tips they provide, but otherwise (and I'll default to channeling Jane Austen here), such messaging provokes my less than angelic inclinations.
You know, after the covid psy ops, I am more alert to and far less tolerant of this sort of thing.
Yes, they are casting a species of spell. Words do have power.
The patronizing tone, when I first noticed it in American company / public messaging years ago, immediately reminded me of my Soviet childhood. I thought it was not a great sign, and sure enough, 2020 arrived...
Yes! I get these emails every week now. Before deleting them, I give them the finger - hahaha. And, not only that - whenever I do a bank transfer from our Italian bank account, the bank is kind enough to let me know what my "carbon footprint" is for the electronic transfer. I mean.....WTF. Pretty soon, they will try to make us feel guilty for breathing the air.
I hear you, Diane! You are on point! And they have already started on trying to make people neurotic about breathing in 2020, and they even made some advances with that...
I remember coming across this in 2023 and it explained the state of our health systems today better than any words or analysis. The infantilization of those entrusted with life and death. In their own words. Well, the words of Behavioral Scientists (BS'ers) speaking to and on behalf of health care professionals. Though after reading this I use the term "professionals" generously.

Why did so many German doctors join the Nazi Party early?
International Journal of Law and Psychiatry, October 3, 2012
"During the Weimar Republic in the mid-twentieth century, more than half of all German physicians became early joiners of the Nazi Party, surpassing the party enrollments of all other professions. From early on, the German Medical Society played the most instrumental role in the Nazi medical program, beginning with the marginalization of Jewish physicians, proceeding to coerced “experimentation,” “euthanization,” and sterilization, and culminating in genocide via the medicalization of mass murder of Jews and others caricatured and demonized by Nazi ideology. Given the medical oath to “do no harm,” many postwar ethical analyses have strained to make sense of these seemingly paradoxical atrocities. Why did physicians act in such a manner? Yet few have tried to explain the self-selected Nazi enrollment of such an overwhelming proportion of the German Medical Society in the first place."
My energy company bots do the same messageing. What got me miffed was a new green steal came and took over our towns bills. With the message we could opt out and stay with the old company. So many questions and hoops to overcome, but i sure did opt out.
Our energy company offers $50 to sign up to give them access to your smart home thermostat, so that they can automatically adjust it in times when energy is in higher demand. Of course, they state that the homeowner will have “full control and authority to override this automatic function”. Yeah-not buying that. I’m not giving up control of my thermostat to anyone and especially not for $50. Though that is substantially more than was paid out to me for LifeLabs (basically the monopoly for lab testing in the province of British Columbia) in compensation in a class action for a major data breach of personal health information. The offering was $7 per person, of which I received $5 because (and I kid you not), I refused to give the company my banking information for direct deposit 😂People need to wake up-we are being told we need to go to a one world digital ID system, which will hold all our personal and financial information. Yet when it is breached, your personal information is only worth $7 to them. We must fight back and not comply with this agenda!
So glad you are seeing through their control-grabbing 'incentives', Sunflower!
Here in Michigan, our energy provider offered us $500.00 per thermostat as a 'rebate', but it required that we register not only the receipt and model number of the thermostat, but serial number and some other number that I didn't understand. My husband said "No way!". So we ate the loss.
Also, we purchased a lower end EV last year, which we DID claim a federal tax credit for. However, a level 2 charging port was necessary, and there was, of course, a big rebate and 'special money-saving rates' offered by the energy company, but they required a high level of information, and installation of the 'app' that was provided with the charger. So, we didn't install the 'convenient' 'app', and we just plug and unplug the cord manually. Yes we lost out on $1000. rebate, and don't have the 'convenience' of using an 'app' to schedule charging. But that's price of flying under radar!
It truly is! The whole 'internet of things' system they're pushing with most household appliances now is another example.
When our old refrigerator finally broke down past being economically repairable, we had to really shop around to find an older model 'dumb' replacement.
I have a “smart” dishwasher that I refuse to hook up to our wifi! I don’t need their smart features. If I forget to turn on dishwasher before I go to bed, I just walk back to the kitchen and turn it on. I do not Alexa, Siri or anyone else listening in my house. All of that is disabled. Also we decided to get a heat pump instead of a regular air con last summer. Forfeited the rebates though because we refused to have our gas furnace disabled. Two things both make my spider senses go up 1. They says it’s for my health or safety 2. They say it’s for my convenience and will make my life easier.
I say the same. And I would add, my spidey senses go up when they say "it's for the planet." I do actually care about the planet. But that doesn't mean that the government, or some corporation, saying I should do XY or Z for the planet are actually up to doing anything that actually has to do with the planet's well-being. Maybe. But more likely not.
I think it is pretty safe to assume that the hypocrites upstairs who admonish the little guy to "do things for the planet" don't care about the planet even one bit, except the ways how to use the planet as a "resource" for them but not for the peasants.
Very wise! It sounds like your household has the same evasive tactics that ours does.
We have all disabled Siri as much as humanly possible on our phones, we use an ancient remote on our TV, no apps installed for any 'smart' items around the house. No echo, Alexa, etc.
right now con ed is using the carrot. the stick is next. can't wait til the summer when my AC bill triggers whatever automated red flag they have in place.
guessing that penalties for AC and hot water use are next
"smart" meters are also known to explode and catch fire. in my building all the meters are in the basement 😨
Wow, I have not heard of smart meters catching fire, another safe and effective thing! I heard they are overcharging, which makes sense from the business perspective bu pushing devices that catch fire is a whole other level of top-down abuse!
SM's have no UL listing, as they are connected to the mains side. They have no overload protection, and can be caused to explode by surging the mains voltage. The recent destruction of several suburban areas (Hawaii, Chilie) has been (in part) attributed to SM's. The houses with no SM's were the only survivors. Some areas have banned and stopped the rollouts due to the no UL and the insurance liabilities.
SM's also emit tens of times more powerful EMR than a cell phone. In frequency of communication and signal strength.
That is such a great talk, and thank you, Larry! What do you mean where I found it, I stumbled upon it on the internet and had to share it, it is so brilliant!
In our future Utopia, our energy usage will be tied to our social credit score. So Tessa, you'd better improve that "Good" to "Great", or you might not be allowed to do stuff like travel or eat.
The switch from Covid to Govid is simple, after the population has been gaslit, isolated, and brainwashed for the past 5 years to accept whatever “new normal” under the slogan of “build back better.”

Interesting your point that companies speak to people like they were children.....I used to work for a building supply company and one day they told us employees to wear a ribbon that said , "Red Ribbon Week -The Choice for Me is Drug Free" Even though I'm not a druggie, I refused to wear it. Why? For the same reason I won't wear a ribbon that says "Vandalism Awareness Week - I don't vandalize" or "Loitering Prevention Week - I Don't Loiter" or "Fatherhood Pride Week - I think fathers should stay with their families".....even though it's all true. You don't get it yet? How about "Toilet Training Week - the choice for me is to always use the toilet." Now getting it? Heh-heh.
Water corp noticed I used way more than average. I wrote them and asked if they wanted to contribute to the 80% of lawn that is council owned street lawn I am responsible for maintaining. Oooo they don’t do that, said they. Stuff 'em no more watering, saved my self a fortune, hope they appreciate the drop in profits they were looking for, and the Neighbour hood looks much worse with my newly created dessert, and dying street trees. The reflected sun must be adding to the suburban heat island effect nicely too.
It is strange that they don’t give any attention to the neurotoxic / carcinogenic fluoride and other toxins including from regular pipe flushing, that they knowingly poison us with.

I found this analysis of sneaky crap useful, yet notably incomplete, so I'll add a few important missing details about where to redirect our energy to efficiently counter the hijacking "daddies", but first of all what is the current reset of the so-called mining machine of the predatory ruling class about in concrete terms presented within a minute for a wide audience?
From the perspective of driving the abusers of administrative power (or metaphorical vampires if you prefer - a term that although coming from the world of spiritualism, I find somewhat useful in the practical problem-solving context, too) trying to reset the world in order to steal our wealth out of power, the discussion here has at least 2 major shortcomings:
1. Focusing on minor details compared to what matters most in practice. Here is an example of the cause of such effects:
2. High-flying accurate ideas going wasted without sufficient precision for problem solving in practice as the people get canceled, persecuted and killed anyway before these ideas start materializing.
This is exactly how we allow the abusers of administrative positions cling to their narrow power, I as a lucky survivor can confirm from my own experience. I feel a lot of respect and very sorry for the guy who lost his family in a fire strangely enough and as a result has come up with many excellent guiding ideas to be implemented afterwards, but these points of rather top-down approaches need to be connected to their bottom-up counterparts that matter most in our concrete lives and not go without notice like the example in point #1. Regarding the straws of success for the above mentioned reset attempt, "since we cannot get rid of women, let us corrupt them" seems to be the Original Straw created by the Freemasons that other straws usually stem from nowadays, as far as my knowledge goes:
I am not an admirer of Catholics either due to the snobbishness they sell as dignity and many other vast differences between their theory and practice in my experience with a few exceptions like the guy linked to above most probably, so what is really going on here - no wonder - seems to be a clash between these two problem entities and we are more like the grass under the fighting elephants that gets destroyed in the process. A large number of women really committed to the dark side, however, are apparently the most effective tool by far that the Freemasons have to turn our societies into a nightmare for their current reset. Or the Great Robbery, to be exact in practical terms that a critical number of people understand without a lengthy explanation.
So what can be done about the female administrative believers in corporate BS like the ones in 1984 by Orwell in the first place who help cancel uncomfortable competitors to the existing mob? Reflecting everything is how you destroy a pusher in a tennis match, which basically means dragging such an opponent out of her or his comfort zone if you really want to take such an opponent to the next level. Similarly in the domain of the abuse of administrative power, public opinion when it really matters (e.g. to save someone from being thrown under the bus), educative jokes, well-functioning communities formed on this basis and so on are the approaches that work in practical, i.e. the near-physical situations, guided by undistorted spirituality. Am I being constructive? Is it doable like in the former Soviet empire until it collapsed?
Quoting Kurt Vonnegut, "Humor is almost a physiological response to fear." Can we agree on channeling our energy in this direction as being humans our, well, "hope for survival lies in the development of technology and a sense of humor"? It applies well to the education of adults and children alike. I believe that there is a lot we can learn from the anecdotes of the collapsing Soviet Union and in order not to continue swimming in "the circles of the next revolutions", our focus should be first and foremost on the kind of feminism that is fueling it and blocking healthy community initiatives in the West now.
I can provide an opening joke about the vertical and horizontal sighted people that once roamed our planet, but you are very welcome to add yours. However, as the folks staring at the stars too much ended being eaten up by the ones looking left and right, we finally got the widescreen (16:9). Now that's evolution. Also, if you aren't good enough at history, you can compare the placement of your eyes with the herbivores (on the sides) and the carnivores (in front) to develop a nudging feeling of where our evolution is going to take us if we are lazy about using our intelligence and get into the habit of leaving everything for the Creator to solve. I guess this bit was from Murphy's Law or at least written by Arthur Bloch, probably, combined with the insight of a telecommunications professor at our university. Wait til those signs say "your speed is (fill in blank), Good job (your name here)! or "your speed is (blank) bad (boy girl fill in pronoun)"
But how do they know the correct pronoun? :)))
