I do not support or approve of eminent domain for any reason, however, once this land grab is done, wouldn't it be more logical and cheaper to simply cover the whole area with trees, irrigating them if necessary? Trees are natural carbon intakes, "breathing" it in and giving off oxygen. But then, there is no money to be made in planting trees.

"Seems to me", as the James Gang could have put it, "they don't want to talk about it."

I feel a sense of urgency to love as I have never loved before... to love this life, this planet & every species that exists, including the wonderful, eclectic group called humanity - despite the obvious flaws and nefarious actions of the small handful of those who do not know what love is, and are demonstrating that in spades through actions like what is described here ๐Ÿ™„๐Ÿ˜‘.

And that love requires boots on the ground push back from all of us, with every fibre of our being. Lordy, people need to wake up in a hurry! ๐Ÿ™๐Ÿป

My cows don't even wear tags. They sure as shit aren't going to wear those.

Fearless love, huh? I hope it stops a bullet.

Glad you are reporting on Ice Age Farmer's reporting; he has been sounding the alarm bells for a while. He also provides info as to how the Grand Solar Minimum influences weather patterns. A lot of haters interpret this POV as "climate change denialism" but in reality, it is just an admission that there are ALSO space-weather and solar and planetary cycles that recur, and sure, we humans often abuse the environment, but a lot of the data, when you look closely, points to these cycles being responsible for the 'extreme weather' that we are currently blaming SOLELY on human activity. Check out Suspicious 0bservers channel on YT for a deeper look. Interestingly, this POV also explains some of the urgency behind many authoritarian moves that are being made, right now. Like, explains 'their' timelines.

What's particularly hilarious about the offer to the farmer is that the payment decreases over time....when in reality (and esp. the way things are going with fewer farms, more ag-intensive plant-based meat, inflation, etc.), the value of the crops would likely go UP, and so the payment to the farm should as well.

But I know--that makes just TOO DARN MUCH SENSE.

I hope the farmers can fight this. All the farmers I know work jobs besides on their farm, because the margins are just so thin.

And in the end they ultimately create a massive landfill of unrecyclable debris that they once created but now must construct new (soon to be) debris for their friends to squeeze money out of the middle class and the US Treasury. The solar craze is still in clean up mode.

Guess that explains why Bill Gates has bought up so much farmland.

Excellent work (once again).

Farmers are under attack all around the globe.

Here in Europe it is now all about the EU's 'Farm to Fork' initiative that will (supposedly) create green and sustainable agriculture while wreaking havoc.

By looking at their route map, it looks like Illinois is the final CO2 dumping ground. I wonder how thy feel about that (the residents, I mean)?

Good Lord. Ever more bizarre and desperate $chemes to keep the dirty bulldozer/manifestation of our polluted minds chugging onward.

Not at all surprising though. Just like your everyday street addict will do absolutely anything, no matter how self-destructive or criminal to deny its' withering, decrepit state & stay high, we will proudly descend to heretofore unexplored depths of depravity in order to avoid looking into a mirror and find the actual source of our misery: Us.

Money and Power is Everything, you see. These are our drugs. We know nothing of simple joy and shared love. Our hearts are screaming voids of misery and pain. We are trapped inside our dark castle continually using stormy weather to jolt our Frankenstein monster into a staggering, stumbling, bumbling illusion of life so we can imagine ourselves as Gods.

As a kid I remember making a special effort to be able to sit through a horror film without covering my eyes. Without knowing why, I somehow knew it was important to not be afraid of frightening scenes.

Now I know why. The story of humanity is a horror film. The overriding theme is tragedy, willful ignorance, self abuse by war, murder, genocide, torture, child abuse etc. etc. It is a horrifying story of shining destinies thwarted, of diverted and distorted natural ascendant tendencies resulting in social devastation, self-imprisonment and loss, repeated over and over again.

To remain sane, to keep ones' heart intact in the face of all this requires a fearlessness that is at least equal in strength, or greater, to the level of abject horror that we serve up to ourselves on these ridiculous platters of gold.

As if these fancy platters mean that we are not, in fact, eating dogshit on a daily basis.
