Pretty damaged to even think in those terms. Luckily, I guess, most of the people dreaming this nonsense up have never taken a physics class. The mere generation of energy doesn't mean it can be turned to useful work.
Run a watch using the seebeck effect? Sure. Run a 65W laptop? Maybe at the south pole for the 3 minutes it takes to die.
I understood that there already exist implantable "chips" that create electricity directly from the human body chemical processes. No batteries needed!
"So my question is, is this how we want to live? Is it what we want to become? Human batteries to feed the internet of bodies?"
Abstract reductionism of your lived experience by a distant owner/decider/executive enslaves and prostitutes your life, your lived experience for some small and abstracted profit to some other entity. In fact, such small extractions maybe consumed by other losses in the system, and be completely wasteful.
Only you can live your human experience.
I have "ridden" a bicycle ergometer at times to create certain amounts of electricity.
You have probably been told that a person can readily make 100 Watts to power a light bulb this way, which is true.
Do it for 5 minutes, if you can.
Well, you need an expensive machine set up to do so, but still, you will be surprised how much body-work it is to make 100 Watts.
Somebody who can sustain 200 Watts on a bicycle can be a pretty good racer if intelligent and well coordinated and a bit daring (and good in a crash).
The distant abstraction of aspects of our lives into "things" which can be taken from us, taken away, and sold or traded distantly for the profit of our "owners" is the process which is an enemy to our humanity.
We can be enemies to our own humanity and to each other, too.
I think there was a documentary several years ago narrated by Keanu Reeves about human batteries...
you forgot one last image :) https://images.genius.com/cbc7e80622c7a0e370a6ce0f89a57dcc.1000x1000x1.jpg
Just like The Matrix!
And here we thought "The Matrix" was science fiction. Who'da thought?
Well said, as usual. Thank you.
You are appreciated
the creepy music, all comforty and friendly sounding...
How cute that you think we're actually making this decision and aren't already in one of the simulations. 😄

They're selling unicorn dust.

OMFG!
Oh yes, "a good thing as it converts useless eaters into useful eaters"....

To the point, answering your questions: “No.”
