I absolutely LOVE what you just wrote (first time caller, so to speak) - EVERY.SINGLE. WORD and sentiment expressed. It helped to frame things for me. Visiting family right now - and every one of them is a CNN/MSNBC rabid accolyte. They watch the news from separate rooms, run into the living room every two minutes to compare notes and rage against Trump - and have ignored 47 years of Biden atrocities, and the 8 years of Kamala-the-Racist-Kop so, basically, I'm in hell.
But the reminder to not hate them because they've been psy-oped and brain washed - was important.

The machine society. What Terence McKenna called the "Orwellian Anthill" That is the target of my ire. Not a half awake old man who can't tell his wife from his child anymore.
The maws of the MSM machine grind louder. My ears are bleeding, but it is sweet song to others in my room. Angry? Not in the least, but at some very deep level, genuinely terrified. And falling alone, save for this and few other thin threads.
Dig it. They've got "us" (present company excepted, it seems) snookered with elections and pandemics, distracting "us" to the point of forgetting our humanity. Divide and rule is alive and well, and, sadly, the next wave of finger-pointing and blame will almost assuredly arise from the ashes of collapsed dreams that this time, finally, is different.
Voting only gets us so far. Living life does the heavy lifting.
I get to practice compassion at work. It's good practice.
I get to work on gardening and fruit orchards when I'm not at work.
It's good recreation. I need recreating.
How I live is undergoing reconstruction.
