Mickey Z: "Amazon Clinic" is here (healthcare without the health or the care)
An "Amazon clinic" and a bill that would allow AI to prescribe meds
Courtesy of Mickey Z:
Please pair it with this bill that wants to give “AI and machine learning” legal rights of a physician, including the legal right to prescribe meds.
I also wrote about it below, including about this fine detail, where “legacy medicine” was kind of declared obsolete in an official gov report:
The year was 2019. The name of the committee was National Security Commission on Artificial Intelligence (NSCAI). The committee, chaired by Eric Schmidt of Google, issued a report called, "Chinese Tech Landscape Overview."
In that report, obtained by EPIC through a FOIA request, the committee talked about the AI race between the U.S. and China, and what kind of "legacy systems" in the U.S. were in the way of winning. (If you want to see their most recent report — which is very long and, unlike the 2019 FOIA-obtained report, was meant for public display and thus was worded far more diplomatically — you can find it here.)
If you are in the position to do so, I encourage you to become a paid subscriber or donate. I love you in any case, but it helps A LOT. Thank you from my heart for your support!
Saw this coming over the past year or so. On the one hand, I’m so glad I can see right through all the propaganda. On the other hand, it’s very depressing to see how messed up the world really is. For years and years (long before Covid19 crap), I kept seeing everything happening as a symptom of corporations and a few wealthy people having too much power...but I couldn’t get anyone to listen, even though to me, it was so obvious. All we keep doing is endlessly preaching to the choir...the very few folks here on Substack.
Welp, if Amazon or AI can declare themselves fit to doctor ... I can doctor myself. Thanks. :)
