I think that tough love is needed for adults to begin acting as adults, but when children are hurt, of course tough love should not apply to them. What should come into play is adult responsibility, the duty to protect children at all times, who need our protection. This is a very basic need most wild and domesticated animals fulfill but many humans fail to meet, and it is hard to tolerate...there are no excuses for this failure.

Regarding children and how they are made to suffer in wars, to suffer physically and psychologically, to be traumatized, I would like to bring up another issue which demonstrates the callousness of most of humanity towards these issues, because these children are other people’s children, they are from another culture, another nation, another race, they look different.
