This is a very quick post to add some clarity to the very confusing situation around NYC mandates.

Cartoon by brilliant Anne Gibbons

Yesterday (October 24, 2022), the judge threw out the NYC mandate for city workers, and ordered the victims to be reinstated and compensated.

SUBSTACK POST / COURT DECISION

On the same day, the City filed a Notice of Appeal. Who said the government is inefficient? They seem to be very efficient when trying to ensure their right to oppress!

This morning (October 25, 2022), this happened (see also my Substack):

Top New York City health leaders voted Tuesday to rescind the strictest-in-nation COVID vaccine mandate [for private employers, a different mandate than the one for city workers] implemented by former Mayor Bill de Blasio in the waning days of his administration, the last signoff needed to end the program next week. Vaccine mandates for high-risk extracurricular activities in schools will end, too.

Both votes were unanimous. The rules will expire on Tuesday, Nov. 1, in accordance with Mayor Eric Adams' late September announcement. At that point, private employers will have the option to keep the mandate if they want, but it won't be required any longer by city health ordinance.

Staying in effect, though, will be the vaccine mandate for tens of thousands of municipal workers, many of whom have expressed frustration they must comply with protocol no longer considered necessary outside the public domain. [Emphasis mine, and also mine is the bewilderment at how an actual politician, and an actual journalist FAIL TO EVEN MENTION yesterday’s court decision, hoping that the citizens wouldn’t know. The nerve!!!!!}

Adams, who kept the private-sector mandate in place when he took office earlier this year despite protest, said in late September the private rule would end on Nov. 1. He insisted, though, that the city's workforce of more than 300,000 employees continue to lead by example and kept the municipal order in place. It's not clear when that might end.

The Democrat dropped the vaccine requirement for professional athletes in late March as vaccine controversy surrounded Nets' Kyrie Irving, drawing ire from businesses who cried double standard.

It's not clear how many private-sector employees lost their jobs over the mandate, though, or whether they may not be eligible to get them back now that it's over. Asked directly about the municipal mandate, which led to the termination of more than 1,500 city employees at the time of his September announcement, Adams said he didn't have an end date.

Wake up, New York!

Isolation Camps in New York State: A Conversation with Attorney Bobbie Anne Cox
This story is about two things. One is the status of the New York State isolation camp regulation, defeated by the fearless attorney Bobbie Anne Cox not so long ago. The other is the power of one human being to go against the grain, stand up for dignity, and actually win…

I'm sorry the court ruling was so limited, but the back-pedaling has begun. We should all keep pushing against any and all "vaccine" mandates, especially pertaining to schoolchildren, some of which will foreseeably die to protect Pfizer and Moderna executives from legal liability.

The politicians have showed their hand. It was never about science, not even their own bullshit case numbers "the science"...

It's a great time where more and more people have realized that to have true science, we all need to be informed. And to have true democracy, the same is needed.

Perhaps we are evolving and the politicians still are medieval, unfortunately rule by fear and abuse is not as effective on humanity as it was before.
