I am sharing it merely for giggles. We don’t know if this is a spooky joint project with the crown prince of gain-of-function or an innocent act of being happy to publish a paper on a hot topic in collaboration with a prestigious Western scholar, and get some funding, etc.
Yet it’s true the road to hell is paved with good intentions, and Daszak certainly is that kind of creature! Lots of misery we are dealing with today is probably owed to Peter Daszak…
