I had a similar idea about communicating with people of different views. Years back, when Trump was running for office, I had two yoga girlfriends who were progressive liberals. In fact, in Arlington, Virginia, I think I was the only conservative in the whole class. Anyway, I suggested a lunch for us to talk about our views. They were really curious as to how I could support someone as despicable as Trump. When we got there, the first thing I said was that we should talk about everything upon which we agree. Well, we spent nearly an hour on that. By the time we got around to talking about where we differed, we had a built a firm foundation of mutual respect for each other. It turned out to be a very productive conversation, and the beginning of wonderful friendships, and many more lunches. Thank you for sharing your beautiful perspectives with us.

I'm not in the means to participate but what a great idea.

In the age of two dimensional one way fandom, you offer feedback and friendship!

Genius idea. I hope it takes off!

No it's ok. I'm not interested, but I still think it's a great idea!

That's why I think it's genius.

I like plan to not record. Old school. Get it more intimate. There's something subconsciously triggering when a "confidential" conversation can potentially go "global." There is a time and place for both formats. Starting as this is on the Internet, I have not heard of this done anywhere. So intrigue factor definitely present. Cheers.

Thank you, Steve!!! And yes, recording adds a layer of "performance," and that is exactly what we don't need more of, talking for the sake of having a meaningful conversation is a lot more fun

Thank you for the offering and the idea Tessa.

Waiting for details.

Some guidelines I do like from another web group I host, what do you think?

Reverence of all life.

The mantra is W.A.I.T. – “Why am I talking?”

Sincerity: Speak for yourself about what has personal meaning.

Avoid questioning collaborators, express you own feelings only.

If you tend to speak often, consider “moving back” .

Silence: Try to honor silence as you would spoken words.

Confidentiality: Refrain from sharing personal things that people have said to respect the privacy of individuals in the group.

Compassion: Hold yourself with compassion as much as possible.

What a great idea! I am happy and excited to participate! It will be interesting to see how the Universe, or whatever it is, will bring to me space to do so. My life has become incredibly full expanding the energies you are describing here through my own processes, activities and interpersonal encounters, most of which have been extraordinary.

Thank you for sharing your idea and energy.

I normally do not like doing Zoom stuff. I did so much of it the first two years of the scamdemic that it grew distasteful. I also learned that I do not enjoy being videotaped or even photographed. Something about capturing the Soul? Not sure. However, I totally look forward to meeting you, Tessa, and your approach to doing this is exactly what I believe the world needs.

This sounds very cool Tessa. I don't comment much online and I may be asleep at the time you hold the club thanks to my location on the planet, but I appreciate the invitation very much and will try to attend.

For me, I can talk about ideas, but to say anything meaningful I have to think about it and write it down. I do not have a degree in philosophy. I do enjoy connecting dots. I wish I had more time and money to spend on esoteric education.
