By the way, Neil Young seems to be collaborating with Amazon Music now. And while I cannot judge any musician who does things in order to eat, this is funny. Clearly, Joe Rogan is a horrible person, while Jeff Bezos is great!! How ironic.
It is logically possible for BOTH Rogan and Bezos to be slime. Just as Paul Stamets can be both scientist and shill. All things are possible for the servants of Satan, including but not limited to Pope Puppet Bergoglio.
I'm glad you pointed this out. I became aware of him only after I had become increasingly aware of other things. I viewed him as an opportunistic busy-ness-man. I'm sure he's thoroughly down with playing the plandemic for all it's worth.
So Blackrock owns Blackstone, and Blue Horseshoe loves anacott steel?

I absolutely love Neil Young's music, particularly the early songs. But the more I discover about the man behind these wonderful songs, the more passively cynical I become. I noticed that he was singing the praises of his owners, corporate behemoth Warner Bros recently. Who DOES that and still expects to receive an understanding ear from their fans? The interests of the public always transcend the much narrower interests of the artist. I hope I don't sound too negative to you Tessa when I say that! Your lovely, warm conscience makes you a much better artist than Mr Young ❤
Aww thank you, Paul!!! It is all so complex... but I have to say, I am disappointed that so many "rebels: turned out to be establishment mouthmpieces. It feels very wrong to me.
Ever the true believer, that's why Abbie Hoffman ultimately killed himself. In a span of less than two decades, America's youth went from committed anti-war and civil rights protests and the 'Summer of Love' to the abject materialism of the 1980s. What was that obnoxious 'brat pack' movie that celebrated yuppieism?
Even Jerry Rubin had become a card-carrying member of the 'Establishment.' As Abbie Hoffman lamented, it wasn't getting better, it was getting worse. Although still cannon fodder for the MIC, today's youth are even more disengaged and distracted, and by design.
The true brilliance of moving away from the draft to an all-volunteer professional military is that the latter would not question the wisdom of foreign policy engagements like Vietnam. It never occurred to the youth of 21st Century America to wonder why the United States was spending years and trillions fighting an opaque 'global war on terror.' As long as they were not being drafted to fight and die in Falluja, Helmand Province, or Niger, they didn't care. No one was singing, "And it's one, two, three, What are we fighting for ... ."
I absolutely despise Neil Young first of all for the way he treated Carrie Snodgress and their son who was born with cerebral palsey and for whom Carrie had to sue the fucker for child support after he dumped her; and second of all for his ridiculous girly voice.

If I knew Neil's address, I'd send him the book "Vaccine Epidemic" [Louise Kuo Habakus, Mary Holland, 2011] He could read it, and therein find the motivation to fight for compensation.
I think on some level all people deserve compassion, compassion is good. But at the same time, his behavior is this moment is lamentable. So, yes to compassion, but yikes on his choice.
I don't know anything about his children. I learned today that he has two, and both are sick. Regardless of the reason, it is beyond sad. I also don't know if there was a vaccine injury or whether he looked into it. The brainwashing around vaccine injuries is astounding, parents are sometimes involved in the betraying of own children (by not looking into the root of the issue or by being in denial and thus denying their child the truth). I don't know if this is the case with him. And I agree that without knowing, it is better to be open-minded. But I still don't like his choice about censorship, it betrays the soul of being an artist.
He's accumulated a lot of my money and musical attention over the past 50 years (albums, concerts). It seems he can now afford to tolerate some criticism.
Neil Young is despicable. He didn't "work with doctors quite a bit" on behalf of his first son was born with cerebral palsy. He abandoned the child and the child's mother for a cuter younger chick. The child's mother, carrie snodgress, who left her successful career to be a wife and mother had to sue the poor "survivor" guy for child support.
Thank you for your outstanding article. As we suspected, there’s lots of dark money driving the posturing of people like Neil Young. In the end, they’re simply products.
Good one, Tessa. I am feeling such love towards all these brave Canadians whose natural state is 'agreeableness' as Peterson describes his own people. Now they are the bravest in the Whole Wide World. Never take an agreeable person for granted, hey! And interesting look at Neil Young too. Very revealing.

I am torn. Do I celebrate the young man and recall my joyful singalongs in a car full of rock climbers or see the old soured individual and drop him as with all the others who have mortgaged their souls. And Joni too. I now must live without her beautiful works although she probably doesn't get it, merely solidarity, lost in Morgellons. I listen to the songs. I know I should just listen with no sense of the artist. Usually I can do this; I have no time for judging the art by the artist as the activists want in their extinguishing jihad. But...I can't. Perhaps I can in time, as I recall my youth, perhaps I have lost the flame too? I don't think I have but hey. The songs are tainted somehow, diminished. So Neil, you never really meant it? The silver spaceships. Joni, singing for Sharon. It was just a phase? Which is you? Which is me?
I have been struggling with this person versus his/her art. I have decided that the gift that is the art is not the person. I continue to enjoy the art which is a gift from God. I ignore the person who is a work in progress as all humans are.
this isn't the first time ole Neil has been coopted by the dark side. Right around the time he was experimenting with synth-pop - an album called Trans, I'm not making this up - he endorsed Reagan. I never considered him anything more than a good guitarslinger with a handful of good songs. But it's gonna be sad throwing all those Joni Mitchell albums in the trash, where the Springsteen and Wynton Marsalis records went a couple of summers ago.
I so hear you!!! On my part, growing up in Moscow, I never got into Neil Young or Joni Mitchell or Springsteen. There was a very preset list of Western rockstars that were popular in my circles (mostly Jim Morrison, Led Zeppelin, King Crimson, Pink Floyd, and a bunch of others). But I was aware of their status as rebels and artists for freedom. All that went into the toilet when a bunch of them seemingly lost their mind over Trump (who, to my senses, is crude and selfish but not a "Hitler" any more than the rest of the people with his job title... well until 2020 anyway :)) That said, the concept of artists crying for censorship is absurd and disgusting. So, I hear you!! [a poetic ending]
Roger Waters and Robert Fripp (to my knowledge) haven't weighed in on any of the madness - possibly for fear of alienating their more easily hypnotized fanbases. Your Moscow circles were cooler than mine here in the US - when all the "cool" kids of my generation were into Husker Du and Talking Heads I was listening to ELO and Phil Ochs...and Rachmaninoff...

Paul Stamets worked for the DEA early in his career, playing both sides of the fence.

Everybody knows when you're part of the #Resistance you're backed by the media, corporations, government officials, wall street.......
Love the Wall Street reference.
Save it... Blackrock and Vanguard are the men behind the curtain... along with the DTTC which trade a TRILLION A DAY.

Yes! Most of the “rebels” in our day (60s and 70s) were or still are basically Marxists!
The hippy movement was started as an MKUltra experiment in Stanford Research Institute in Menlo Park. Ken Kesey was a part of that.
Mark Devlin covers this in depth in his 'Musical Truth' trilogy of books

Good digging! It's like that thing we used to have back before the year 2000, what was it called?
Oh right, journalism!
Good piece Tessa. And to think that Neil Young has an autistic son, likely due to vaccines.
I did a piece on the ties between Blackrock, Vanguard and the media July 3, 2021. Interesting how much more insidious things have become since then.
