Talking About the Historical Global Trauma with Mathew Crawford
On Rounding the Earth podcast.
This is a quick note to share two interviews I did on Mathew Crawford’s podcast, Rounding the Earth.
One is from forever ago. I had planned to write an in-depth article to go along with it but then many things happened and I never wrote one—but it was a very good interview, not to a small degree thanks to the participation of my favorite “COVID Russia” correspondent, Riley. Very carefully, the four of us circumvented various geopolitical potholes and kept our focus on the love.
And then the other one is from this morning.
And, since I’m talking about Mathew, whom I like and strongly support in in his quest for the correct DMED numbers, here’s his take on the “banking crisis.” We touched upon the banking mess briefly in this morning’s conversation—but focused on how to keep calm and turn this wild ride into an adventure, with honesty, love, resilience, and a sincere prayer.
Also, I would like to recommend a book that looks at the time period leading up to the Great Depression. It is very useful if you want to understand today.

Wow Tessa that's quite a Hollywood-ish photo of you looking so glamorous! :)
Both interviews were great listening. Thanks to you all. It felt relieving to relate to so much discussed! 🙏🤗
