Cavafy has a poem on this.,

“For the gods perceive future things,

ordinary people things in the present, but

the wise perceive things about to happen.”

Philostratos, Life of Apollonios of Tyana, viii, 7.

Ordinary people know what’s happening now,

the gods know future things

because they alone are totally enlightened.

Of what’s to come the wise perceive

things about to happen.

Sometimes during moments of intense study

their hearing’s troubled: the hidden sound

of things approaching reaches them,

and they listen reverently, while in the street outside

the people hear nothing whatsoeve

I'm sure we don't have anything to worry about. They know what they're doing.... (sarcasm)

Thanks for highlighting this. I dug up an old FB post I made about this a while back. I'm very wary of graphene...

Let’s get ahead of the NEXT BIG THING.

Graphene will inevitably be marketed to you as convenience, medical advancement and climate change solution… a solution to EVERYTHING in much the same way that plastic once was. And just like plastic, it is becoming an integral part of our lives BEFORE we have any real understanding of its impact. Billions of dollars are now being invested to accelerate industry acceptance of new graphene technologies.

You will soon see stories about its extraordinary electronic properties, electron transport capabilities, conductivity, sensor capacity, ultra lightweight properties, amazing flexibility and ecofriendliness.

Bill and Melinda Gates have already invested in ultrathin graphene condoms. Graphene-enhanced sanitary products are being touted as “healthy and safe.” With a new business model in place, we can now acknowledge that the chemicals, bleaches, plastics and perfumes used conventional products are unhealthy and bad for the environment.

Graphene is being introduce into vaccines, dental composites/implants, wearable tattoos, clothing, bike helmets/tires, asphalt, concrete, earphones, hair dye, paint, batteries, solar panels, water filters, body sensors and ink. It was also used in some masks (that were later recalled).

That technology will be marketed to you as a promising treatment for conditions like diabetes, Parkinson's and osteoarthritis and diagnostic technology for cancers…

BUT… once inside you, the technology provides access to any and all of your biometric data. This technology is also interactive and may render you vulnerable to its influence, as graphene is conductive and responsive to 5G technology.

It can also be used to harvest electrical power from the human body and is the key ingredient for brain-implant technology with the help of 5G.

But unless you research, you’re not likely to hear much about graphene toxicity and all of the ways this technology can be used against you until after it’s in your walls, your roads, your bike helmet, your car, and your vital organs. Graphene has been shown to cause oxidative stress, DNA damage, inflammatory response, apoptosis, autophagy, and necrosis. Graphene nanoparticles can bypass the blood-air barrier, blood-testis barrier, blood-brain barrier, and blood-placenta barrier and accumulate in the lung, liver, and spleen leading to acute and chronic issues.

Masks that contained graphene were recalled because some graphene nanomaterials can be inhaled and and deposited in the respiratory tract and into the lungs where they can cause granulomas, lung fibrosis and other adverse health effects.

So before you jump on the graphene technology bandwagon, give some thought to your health and privacy… and what it means to be autonomous. And human.

Tire wear makes a tremendous amount of mostly invisible dust in the air, now enhanced with GRAPHENE.

Exactly! "Enhanced" is a nice politically correct word!! :)

Expand full comment

Everything we sell is an "UPGRADE".

;-/

Expand full comment

maybe we need the "upgrade" since a tesla only gets 7k miles on a regular set of tires?

and speaking of tires, when arnie gunderson made his trip to japan in 2013 to discover where the most fukushima contamination could be found, guess where that was? are we just spinning our wheels?

Where was most of it found?

PS I appreciate the pun!

puns make language great again ;)

interestingly, the highest concentration of fukushima radionucleides was found on car tires, validating the argument that it really got around

Graphene….and yet, the big thought leaders of the Medical Freedom Movement maintain…NOT on their watch. I call BS. Or are they going to claim again…”But, but, but….the government told me lies!” Faux outrage. Four years out….tick, tock….run the clock out as TPTB finish building the digital prison.

You mention glyphosate. Along the same line of thinking. Ethanol in our car fuel is produced with aid of glyphosate. It’s a persistent chemical that is vaporized by our cars. I haven’t done the combustion calculations as to whether it breaks down in combustion but its byproducts or constituents at least remain to be exhausted. And although our government tells us it’s for the environment it is also a huge subsidy for large ag and pharma giants (Bayer aka Monsanto). Stephanie Seneff put that idea in my head.

Graphine is the thin layer molecular sheets created using graphite. Graphite is derived from the element lead. Was there or was there not a major concern for having leaded gasoline to where it was eliminated as an additive? Are we missing an ecological review process or is it just that STEM graduates must have something new to do and to hell with any Precautionary Principle?

"A group of scientists have turned graphene into a superconductor, capable of carrying electricity with no resistance. The secret involved sandwiching two layers of graphene together and offsetting them by a ‘magic angle.’

https://www.popularmechanics.com/science/a19159744/graphene-superconductor/

What is this magic angle? 47°,33°or 666°. I can see the pentagram this time😆.

Under simulated sunlight, the (Graphene)aerogel could heat up 100ml of water to 45°C – 13°C higher than water without the aerogel.”

Corpse at time of autopsy maintaining temperatures over 40°c!!!!

Nah, it's just carbon. Graphite has been manipulated into superthin layers and crystals for 200 years in all sorts of industrial processes. It performs wonders.

Graphite and graphene seem to have very different properties, despite both being carbon. I mostly care about the impact on biological life, and it seems like contamination with graphene and graphene derivatives are not good news for biological life at all..

Isn't graphene wicked expensive? How can they do this?

I think it is getting cheaper to make it. They also found some natural graphene that is a few billion years old, and allegedly, trying to figure out how to make cheaper graphene...
