A 5 star rating doesn't do justice to this projection into the future. A brilliant portrayal of history as it might come to be. If we are not careful, the character in that story could be any one of us (or all of us) if we don't give heed to the present circumstances and take appropriate action. Another similar work, but with a different slate, can be downloaded at https://www.scribd.com/doc/311253057/The-Western-Book-of-the-Dead-pdf# . These two stories could easily be superimposed one over the other. Methinks the future is now!
Yesterday, I received this cleverly written post from my sage brother-in-law and brother-in-Christ, which describes life for one whimsical gal in the year 2419. As I read it, I instantly thought it could have been written by any one of us with some ridiculously “far out” humor intact. I hope you enjoy reading Tessa’s words and smile at the absurdity of the future life she experiences as she regales her grandfather’s words of wisdom which brings her back to her center, that reminds her, she is not alone, and neither are we! 🤗
Just keep on hitting that send button Tessa. Your insights are so spot on as illustrated in this poignant story. I also want to say how much I enjoy the comments of your readers. It is very encouraging for me to realize that there are still many who do get it.
After years of enjoying Tessa's brilliant writing I now managed to find out how to get into the comment section :-).
Tessa, I truly love your mind, your inner independence and clarity and your human-ness. Thanks for being you and sharing your mind and soul! So good to know you're on this crazy planet with us. Greetings and virtual hugs from Ute in doomed Germany *sigh*
That is a beautiful story! So hopeful and full of love. This is a wonderful answer to the WEF future that they want for the world. I also do not accept the WEF's AI dictatorship. I agree that cognitive autonomy is everything. This is what is at stake, right now, and in the future. The road to being a cyborg has started but we don't have to stay on it. I think that this is a spiritual journey, that we are all on, and there is an opportunity to find our strength. We are choosing our future every day.
This was a good story. I am old enough and have remained cognitively autonomous enough to have read similar stories by sci-fi writers from many decades ago. We’ve been warned about this on many fronts but mostly in the world of fiction where truth and prescience have always been more easily explored. Too bad our AI is busy censoring all of this. Still, I will share it and see if anyone gets it. Lately, not so much.

You have the gift of storytelling. Well done!
Excellent work! How did you know the future??? Haha. Seriously, I enjoy you writing so much.
As I read I kept thinking, "How absurd," and yet at the same time, how familiar. I just hope our ending is the same as your character experienced.
