I’m new to your articles, Tessa, and I had no idea that you had an abusive husband. Hugs to you. And I’m sorry you had to endure “ugly Americanism” so intimately with him and his family.

It’s sad how we’re being split into even more factions with the awful genocide in Gaza. I have a couple childhood friends who I “tracked” with through COVID, got a little crosswise with when I didn’t accept the Ukraine narrative, and now have nearly burned a bridge with by calling for a ceasefire in Gaza and speaking out against all the harm done to all of those children having been killed in Gaza over the past 2 months. They seem to not be able to see Gaza kids as being worthy of a chance for a peaceful life. These kids that are the same age as their own kids. As if it’s normal that their kids get to safely attend hockey tournaments and drink clean water but that Gaza kids have dirty, unsafe water and certainly don’t have the energy at this point to play ?soccer? with a ball made out of old rags. This lack of sympathy for Gaza kids is almost as horrifying as the bombings.😢

I hear you, Beth!! The way I see it, people, good people, somehow fall for different spell-like stories, and adopt them for their identity. I love people with different opinions but a willingness to throw others under the bus on the basis of "talking points" is a very sad thing. I have love for the souls of the people who are willing to throw others under the bus but no respect for cruelty at all. And yes, the lack of sympathy is horrifying, I see it as a spell, And the funnies thing (not funny funny, sad funny) is when people who are willing to throw others under the bus under one set of talking points are arrogant about other people who are willing to throw others under the bus under a different set of talking points.

I think your view on their behavior being like a spell is a great way to look at it! I’ve had to be woken up a time or three, as if under a spell. Then when I look back at my behavior/things I said I’m like “…how the heck did I ever fall for that AND act like that?!!!!….” Have you ever seen the Russell Crow release of 3:10 to Yuma? There’s a great scene where a “righteous” bounty hunter spouts off about how bad R. Crow’s character is but then R. Crow reminds him about how under the premise of “….Indians are just savages…” that the righteous bounty hunter killed hundreds of Native American children and women…”…I guess Jesus doesn’t care about Sioux kids….” Yeah, the hyprocracy could very well be more of a bewitching than anything!

Tessa: The veneer of civilization is paper thin. Psychopaths are drawn to power. The current U.S. administration is now run by them, thus one or two generations of Ukrainian men slaughtered for no reason. But the horror in Gaza is the worst I've ever seen in my almost 75 years. In that case it is the religious extremists who control the government and their savagery. But it is American weaponry murdering all the innocents. Because civilization is so fragile we must redouble our efforts to spread goodness, love, and kindness in all our interactions, and refuse to do harm except in self defense. Our government has become a nightmare of venality and corruption, and can't be trusted for anything more than delivering the mail.

What a lovely man is Kevin. I, like you, have been involved too closely with more than one cruel psychopathic man in the past. You know, the ones who seem to have very little Soul left after being too cruel and speaking too many lies for too long. You are so fortunate to have Kevin as a friend. People like that can help us heal. As for managing what I am feeling by being aware of the ongoing horrors, I have to keep giving compassion and kindness to those I can. And pray for the rest. I really do not know what else to do. Keep writing and speaking out, Tessa. We need your HeartMind speaking to us.

Often cruelty to others is the result of abuse in early childhood that remains unresolved, and the usual sense of inferiority covered up by a superiority complex. Among Muslims, sexual abuse is apparently common, to both boys and girls. But that also happens in suburban, middle class, or wealthy white collar families, and is very well hidden among them. So the rage it engenders is buried deep and comes out "sideways" in cruelty toward others. Now, this is by no means excusing it; it's only an explanation. Sociopathy is common here, in the US among such families. Psychopathy, a more extreme form, crops up coupled frequently, with other psychiatric symptoms as the generational "load" increases, and the violence does as well.

I have found that healing myself was sufficient. I do not believe in "past lives", or that, beyond my own trauma, I can heal others'. I base that on sound psychology, and Biblical truths alike. I am aware the generational aspect of a traumatized and unhealed person that will cause behaviors of abuse to be passed to the next generation, and that is true; I saw that clearly in my own extended family, even before I understood it. However, Yhwh God told us such would happen ;sins of the fathers visited upon the sons to the 3rd and 4th generations). He also told us we are each accountable ONLY for our own sins, including behaviors caused by such traumas, and that " it is appointed unto man, once to die and the the judgment"; that pretty much totally precludes past lives or reincarnation of any sort (no "do overs"). Yes, it can help if you know the roots of your abuse in prior generations to a point, but only in understanding why abusers behaved as they did; what's done can't be undone, particularly when those are already dead. You can only fix what's broke in you.

Where does the Soul go after bodily death? Bible Heaven? or Bible Hell?

Neither, in fact; they all go to Shell but either the Paradise side or the Genehenna side, 'til judgment day, after which either heaven or hell. See the parable of the rich man and Lazarus, and during the crucifixion, Jesus affirmed that, when He told the repentant thief that day he would be I. Paradise with Jesus.

No, quite the contrary, He does not; he'll was created for the rebellious (fallen) angels, not humans at all. But He loves us enough to not cross our free will choices, and THOSE are what determine a soul's eternal destination, not Yhwh God's choice. Repeatedly, through the Bible He tells us His choice would be for us all to repent and be redeemed. However, He will not force any to do so. Indeed, if He crossed a free will choice, it would end free will for all, and make us all slaves to His will, so He made a covenant with Himself that He would not do that. He WANTS us to come to and eternally dwell with Him, but He will not make any do so by force.

Free will is complicated to grasp fully, only took me 6 decades to get it, really. It goes counter to how our minds operate, for the most part.

I find the violent rhetoric lobbed at both Palestinians and Jews distressing. Interesting how it comes from both sides of the political spectrum. Near the middle the old school liberals and conservatives tend to blame Hamas and support the Israeli government. Both the far left and the alt-Reich support Hamas and blame "the Jews" for all the world's problems.

Here's an idea. Hamas does not represent all Palestinians. Netanyahu and the Israeli government doesn't represent all Jews. Murdering civilians is wrong. Whether by bombs, poison, guns, or knives. Killing a human being is wrong.

We need to be less collectivist in our thinking.

The human "animal". An epithet to ponder. Animals are not, by and large, systematically, recreationally cruel. Certain animals, like dogs, have perhaps modeled and taught our humankind some of the very attributes we like to believe define us as human: altruism and unconditional love. My crazy, playful boxer dog would lay down her life for me. How many of us would do the same for a friend, much less, just another human on the street? Is cruelty what defines the human? I don't think believe that, either. I have witnessed cruel humans wake up to their awful madness in real time and awake to what they have done. Most do not, of course, which is depressing, but a reminder that "awakening" and becoming fully human can never be "engineered" on mass scale: it is a slow, painful human by human project spanning countless lifetimes. We must not lose hope, or faith in our brother and sister humans; most of all, we must keep working on ourselves. Thank you for your story, Tessa.

Interesting comment about dogs. Not sure how much influence they have on humanity overall. But I do know they have huge active hearts radiating energy I can feel. And they can sense my field in their presence. When I met my wife she had a huge wolf Sheppard mix that hated everybody and was very protective of her. That dog and I were best buds from the start. She said I would have never got a second date if it hadn’t been for that. We raise GSDs now and I can walk into any other breeders kennel and calm the whole crowd just by letting them smell me. My personal GSD has this amazing ability to read people within a radius of 25ft. Not sure what he senses or what his criteria is. You’d never suspect just by looking at the person. It’s uncanny but worth paying attention when he triggers. He loves all children btw.

Now as to the question, "Why are people cruel?" Because they never got stomped out, they never been shot or cut or "packed out,"[jumped by mobs], set on fire or ran over by cars. Most bullies and cruel people never even had a fist fight. A lesson well taught is a lesson well learned, right?... You'll be fine.

Tess if it makes you feel better I have been harassed, abused, deceived, and otherwise tortured by abusive women in my past.

Just to provide balance to this discussion in that psychopaths are born to either sex.

Anyway .. any victim of abuse will tell you — once they are liberated by their shackles they are much keener at spotting potential abusive situations. This may explain why so many us that have seen darkness have caught on to the government scams and lies quicker than others. We have seen how dark some natures can be in some humans — and institutions are not immune to this darkness! (Because institutions are a manifestation of humans and human nature: as they are created by and staffed with humans).

I am sorry to hear that you suffered from spousal abuse. I empathize with you as I have suffered abuse, discrimination and race hatred my entire life because I am of the Jewish faith. Before I make some comments, I have a question. Why do you suppose that in a region of the world where every country is predominantly Muslim (except for Israel) that NO other country there will accept their brothers and sisters from Gaza? Give this question some thought. [Did you know that as soon as the Israeli military started defending against the Palestine terrorists Egypt locked their gates to stop Palestinians from entering?] A recent poll shows that 70+ percent of Gaza residents support their (elected) Hamas leadership. So, on October 7th, when Hamas terrorists invaded Israel without provocation to murder, sub-humanly torture and kidnap as hostages innocent Israelis, most of whom were children, woman, elderly and handicapped they did so with the approval and encouragement of the majority of "innocent" Palestinians. There is video that shows Gaza civilians following their beloved terrorists into Israel to participate in the genocide of Israelis or to cheer them on. Video also shows that these "innocents" reacted with much joy as the barbarians returned with the hostages and even abused the hostages themselves. Hamas has promised that they will conduct many more October 7ths.

This so-called genocide of Gazans by Israel must be the strangest one that ever occurred. It is not typical battle strategy to inform your enemy that you're a bout to start fighting back. Israeli military has consistently forewarned the civilians by dropping pamphlets and even messaging via cell phone. It was the Hamas that did not let their citizens leave or even killed them if they tried to leave. After all, Hamas war strategy uses their civilians as shields, as well as hiding in hospitals and schools.

Do you wonder why there is no food or water? Maybe because Hamas won't allow supplies to come in or when they do it is not given to the people. Of course, there would be water in pipelines, but Hamas dug them up to cut them to make rockets and bombs. There has been very generous amounts of money given to Gaza by the US, UN and others. This money has been stolen to be used for out of country retreats (hideaways) for Hamas leaders, and used to build miles of elaborate underground tunnels for Hamas's use for storage and escape. Some of the money is used to educate the children-- to hate Israel, America, Jews. Young kindergartners are taught fighting and use of guns, etc. The parents support this child abuse. And, as to abuse, Moslems (because religion says to) there, in Europe and in the US, stone, kill and torture their own women and children. They especially relish punishing infidels and other misfits-- people of color, gays, lesbians, trans, mentally or physically handicapped.

I could expand on this, but by now, I hope you get the picture. Most of the people in Gaza are not innocent. There is no genocide on the Palestinians, it is by the Palestinians. Your friend Kevin is pushing false, misleading propaganda.

I do not pretend that the Israeli government or its military is not without problems, but they are not trying to destroy the Muslim faith or take over Europe, the US and the rest of the world by jihad (genocide, destruction)

Thank you, FreedomFighter, and I am very sorry that you had to deal with abuse!! Hugs to you.

Now to your question and the ugly geopolitics. That no one wants to take Palestinians is a very strange talking point, I keep hearing it but it is a grand distortion, probably a creating of CIA masterminds. If it were the case, the reason would probably be the same as why so many countries, including the U.S., refused many Jewish refugees during WWII, which is cruelty and indifference to other people's suffering.

But in this case, it is not even accurate. They can't get out! To my senses, and this is my opinion that is strong and well-researched (but I am fine with disagreeing) is this: first off,, the very founding of Israel had nothing to do with the well-being of any Jewish person. it was a selling proposition. The founding was a globalist project, much like COVID, and both locals (Palestinians primarily but also local Jews) AND European Jews were thrown under the bus. The globalist protect was sold to the ordinary, abused European Jews as something for them but in reality, they were dragged in for the role of partaking in a never-ending VERY LUCRATIVE war, to enrich the same European and U.S. powers that brought us COVID and the Great Reset. The main goal was to disrupt and weaken the Middle East for the benefit of the globalists, and then of course the never-ending war was going to be there all the time due to the laws of physics. It has nothing to do with any ethnicity and religion, it would happen if one group were Buddhist and other group Hindu. If you slap a hostile state on top of people's heads, they are going to fight back for their land and their dignity, and of course that is exactly what happened . So, as usual, the fault lies with the globalists.

Now, the most probable ambition is to drive the Palesttinians out of Gaza completely, and because the president of Egypt, as well as the majority of Arab leaders actually on the side of the CIA (and that's regardless of what they say for show), the plan is to kill as many Palestinians as possible and then "kindly" allow them to move to Egypt, and Egypt, whose gov is working fo the U.S., who is run by the globalists, will take them. But they are doing it in phases. Or so they hope. Gaza has wonderful natural resources that the globalist powers wouldn't mind having to themselves, and Gazans are sitting there like a sore thumb, like the American Natives sat in the way of the globalists when the globalists wanted to have the goodies of the American land. Same thing. So the tragic irony of the situation is that, to my senses, the well-being of the Jewish people is as authentic of a reason for most things related to the state of Israel as public health has to do with the COVID vaccination campaign, or "respect for workers and peasants" had to do with the establishment of the Soviet Union, The globalists don't care one bit, and the vaccination of Israelis is proof. So. Everyone has been thrown under the bus. It's a tragedy. And currently. not a so called genocide but an actual genocide is happening. Thousands of CHILDREN have been murdered in cold blood. It's disgusting. I am heartbroken over this .

I try not to focus on it too much because the situation is sickening and tends make me mad. Especially engaging with one who seems to think killing children is fine. It is always a good thing to have conversation, even when viewpoints are divergent. I agree with you that the creation of the State of Israel was globalist inspired (esp. the British Empire). After the Holocaust it took little to convince European Jews to return to their homeland of centuries past. Jews are or have been living in the majority of the world's countries. They have been welcomed and accepted universally, until a change in regime caused them to become unwanted. They even live in some Arab countries. As a very small minority, they have been scape-goats of rulers/governments seeking to draw attention away from other issues. Jews contribute in many ways to the countries they live. Palestinian Moslems, on the other hand, do not contribute to host countries, on the contrary. Ask Brigette Gabriel, a Christian Lebanon, about the terrorists from Gaza (Act for America Substack). If one wants to fight and kill people that have done harm, that's one thing. There is no excuse for the atrocities committed by Hamas and the Palestinians in and to Israel on Oct. 7th. This was genocide, unlawful and unacceptable to conventions of war. Those supporting the Palestine terrorists are ignorant, ill-informed or both.

I appreciate your desire and ability to have a sincere conversation about a topic that is emotional to both of us, with differing analysis. There is lots to say but at the end of the day, it probably won't change our minds. I believe that all human beings bleed red, and that sadly, all nations of this planet have been abused through and through. The loss of innocent lives on October 7 was tragic. That, unfortunately, is a part of what the globalists (who don't care about either the Jews or the Arabs) set the people up for at the day they founded a county on top of people's heads. A perpetual war was their goal, as well as ridding the land of the locals eventually. What makes the tragedy is worse is that Jews and Arabs are cousins, two semitic peoples who share similarities in the appearance, some phonetic features of their languages, etc. Tragic in every way. As far as history, I will leave it at this cartoon. I don't hope to reach similarity of opinions on the topic with you but I greatly appreciate civil discourse. Thank you for spelling all his out so patiently. There is so much blindness and ignorance to the situation in the Middle East and the Hamas atrocities have brought the area into the Western brain addled audience with dire consequences. The absurdity of the situation is frightening - people in Israel get attacked and murdered in a truly medieval manner (with apologies to the Middle Ages!) and the world instead starts siding with the Palestian propaganda. To anyone still naive about this, it even has a nickname - Pallywood. In the very early days of the blogosphere, when the nascent citizen journalism counted for something, it became obvious how tear-jerking footage and images released by the Palestians were nothing to do with Gaza or their suffering, they were often repurposed from other conflicts or photosphopped. I do despair how decent people have become swayed by such manipulation of their compassion.

No I don't - putting myself under a magnifying glass, I'm tempted to say sloth or laziness could be innate, but even this would not be true, since it would imply giving up; succumbing to entropy, the machine, short-term thrills, whatever.

I always found open cruelty, bullying etc repellent, but have until recently been... not blind so much but - what, myopic? fatalistic? "practical"? - to secret cruelties that beset my world, cruelties that are not secret at all; just impopular, not spoken-of, tabooed or muted in "polite" society.

The forgotten art of (re-)assuming agency in life is not a secret but a sacred quest. Trampled on by cruelty in any way, shape or form, including our own; anything between directed energy weapons and tiny moments of neglect. Mind you, I'm not trying to be perfect about it - just serious. Thanks, Tessa and your wonderful friend Kevin Nathaniel, for reminding me - again. It's lonely at times, but we are not alone.

I suppose that human nature is inherently selfish, ie to see oneself as the most important person in the world. I also suppose, like yourself, that human nature is all about potential. We have the potential to overcome our selfish desires. (Selfishness leads to behavior which is often, but not always, mean and cruel to others.) We have the potential for staying selfish, to pretty much always putting our selfish interests above the interests of others.

This makes sense to me, but I don’t expect it to make sense to anyone else.

There are plaes in the world where civilizations collide - Poland and Crimea/Ukraine between Europe and Russia, for example. The core region of the middle east, Israel/Palestine, is another such area. Two very different groups of people claim the same land. For such places as these, the land has always been a battlefield with brief interludes as a living space for one side or the other.

How do we outsiders resolve a tradition of war between the opposing sides? There is no rational solution to an emotional attachment to an idea. Force provides no solution, either, as history has shown. Whoever has the power rules, the other side be damned.

Perhaps it is like an abusive marriage in which the love intended has been usurped by a need that automatically dehumanizes the other.
