Seriously love to follow you on Substack. Don't love so much that from time to time your posts are not "audio" enabled. Love that Substack provides you a means by which you can be paid for your work, and your freedom and right to encourage folks to become paid subscribers. Don't love so much that one tool to that end is most negatively impactful upon those who are visually impaired or otherwise dependent upon the audio reading of your posts. Of course I love you anyway... just saying. <3

One of my favourite writers, Captain Frederick Marryatt, starts his first novel by saying he was a coward. From one of England's greatest naval commanders this is a shock. He says that courage is something learnt in battle, but that in the chaos of the first engagements, cowardice is only natural. It is the result of ignorance, and the only remedy is to watch and learn.

The vast majority of people walk in circles all of their lives, as prescribed by the endless Social Ge-ometrists, both institutional and human or in response to a number of Addictions.

Great piece Tessa! I will now listen to your wonderful album of music for a while, while I have an ice-coffee in Puerto Vallarta, Mexico.

Thank you in both regards for your wisdom and creativity!

Tessa - I'm working on a post about recent questions regarding Dr. Mercola. Just for he record, I'm a long time subscriber to his newsletter and user of his products, so this is not a hit piece. I'm reaching out to several people who know him for comments. Would you be willing to offer any input?

"I must not fear.

Fear is the mind-killer.

Fear is the little-death that brings total obliteration.

I will face my fear.

I will permit it to pass over me and through me.

And when it has gone past, I will turn the inner eye to see its path.

Where the fear has gone there will be nothing. Only I will remain."

Iain McGilchrist whom I was listening to this morning is firm on brain plasticity and also the notion that behavior can change. Tessa I think back to a Generation of Vipers and Momism. Wylie held this damaged children. In a sociological sense the Cold War could never end as it is too useful a tool of control and fear is the cornerstone of control. In San Francisco masking is making a comeback. Fearful times and the mask protects from fear like a comfortable teddy bear. Getting fear out of people is like taking the glamour out of war or in Alan Watt's fine phrase "getting drunk through the ears."

I heard this somewhere-- Ours is not to question why. Ours is to do or die. The Eternal One has made our life simple. It is when we question or complain that life becomes difficult. If man (and woman) is made in the image of God and God is good, then the only thing we need to do is to try to be one with God. That is love and peace. If we learned from the lesson of Adam and Eve in the Garden of Eden, staying on our path should be easy and natural. The Eternal One, all powerful, all knowing, all loving, is always present to guide us. Sometimes, we wander off the path. It's all on us.

To be identified with the extremely vulnerable mortal meat body is intrinsically terrifying. Every dimension of our dreadfully sane existence is thus darkened by a hell-deep fear.

Furthermore one of the ancient Upanishads tell us that whenever a sense of an other is presumed fear spontaneously arises. The presumed other thus becomes your enemy which you unconsciously seek to control, and eventually destroy.

Thank you Tessa, much needed your spiritual exploration in to fear.

but you give the solution also:

“…. when you remember that you are here to do an important and spiritually authorized job, there seems to be less ground for fear..”

I do not need to know my authorized job, I do know that if all my thoughts, words and action are based on love, I will succeed.

Fear comes from our egoistic self that operates in duality.
