Haven't watched Olympics in quite a while....even before this planned chaos....however, I am super happy that the world's most notorious non-vaxxed tennis star wins gold at 37 yrs old and beats a player 15 yrs his junior.... Olympic Gold For Djokovic https://mathewaldred.substack.com/p/olympic-gold-for-djokovic
A friend of mine sent this to me just yesterday for no apparent reason to which I replied: "It is exactly this level of poetic introspection that makes the Russians virtually indestructible." After all, a nation whose most famous battle hymn is about a sad girl strolling around an apple and pear orchard is clearly not to be trifled with.
When I was a little boy, I was sitting with my father in a sweets shop in a small town eating my cake. The shop was packed. A Soviet officer entered and walked to our table. "Свободно?" I froze. Given that my father was a rabid anticommunist and not exactly a happy camper after the invasion, I expected an immediate fistfight. Instead, my father nodded, pointed to the empty chair and said "Да". They spent the next thirty minutes discussing Достоевский. Nothing has ever taught me more about the reality of human nature than that moment.
Why I am saying this? Because human affairs are complicated an wholly unpredictable and because I'd rather go back to that caffe and finish that discussion than anything else in the world.
That is the way out indeed. And one of the steps on this journey might be to realize that these unloving people are also us. We are all fragmented. We all have unloving parts. We are all afraid to heal and come into full power. Healing the internal fragmentation heals the world.
If people want to be outraged about the olympics, at least let it be for their egregious squandering of public funds for the enrichment of billionaires and politicians.
my saying it is only a tiny fraction is the machine speaking Tessa and you are right to hold out hope! Transformation can be like walking in the mist and then suddenly you see you are soaked to the bone.
Bullseye, Tessa! The more outrage the more we'll fight the more we'll act from primitive brain stem the more they can suck up the straw. They are weak and helpless without us. Their existence depends on us. WE have the power, not them.
Aren't you clever to figure it all out- and I'm not being patronising, I am full of respect, you're right. It's all about the drama, us getting excited and stressing and refused to listen and love. Reminds me of Kipling's poem "IF" "If you can keep your head while every one is loosing there's, you'll be an adult" or something like.
Wish I could remember that more often, so thankyou for your insightful reminder.
'Theft of respect' is crucial regarding where we are today, and it begins in the first 2 or 3 years of our lives, before we can talk. Our bodies know from day 1 what we want and when we want it - but our culture does not recognise the importance of that. We do so much in the first several years of a child's life to guide them, rather than letting them guide themselves from their own knowing. ....And then we get triggered by 'lack of respect'! Let's reconnect to ourselves so we can appropriately connect with children, and they can grow up without being triggered by theft of respect, and they will respect themselves and their own knowing enough that they won't need it from others.
I do so agree. They want us off balance and unable to think clearly.
I wonder if this exercise to calm down singers and loosen them up might help nonsingers or actors and just anybody:
Get a glass of water with a fat straw. Fill it half way with water. Blow into the straw till the water bubbles. Feel how much looser your face and jaw feel. Add a pitch when you blow to get more relaxing. Use pitches within your normal range. The object is to feel where you have tension and release it.
Sometimes you have lots of layers of tension and
letting go just feels good.
Give it a try some time.
We need to find ways to stay out of fight or flight. This is just one to try.
Yes, focus on compassion and wisdom, not chaos and division.
This is an important historical inflection we have entered.
;-)
Indeed, Brother John!

Yes, we need to watch the “they” factor.
Excellent work great job
Thank you, Emilio!
You're welcome always God bless you and your family forever
Ha, what olympics. You know what games they are really playing so just avoid it.
Go outside & have a run, play soccer, tennis or throw a frisbee with family & friends & enjoy reality.
A picnic & a swim in nature.
I don’t see the point in getting upset over the system at play.
We can participate in at least a dozen olympic sports each day or weekend of the year regardless.
Don’t forget that large scale sporting events are simply a tool to control the sheeple.
I tend to agree

slowly I am starting to see more and more recognize this, though it is a tiny fraction of he population seemingly,
Hopefully, more people will see it sooner rather than later!!

Well done Tessa, possibly the most important message of our time.
Once the mind is awakened to the fact that everything being put in front of it is a distraction, it stops being triggered. It stops taking the bait.
It sees the fake show trials, the fake elections, the fake everything for what it really is ...

Another thoughtful writing Tessa with heart, soul, and mind, thank you!
Thank you, Patrice!!
