This story is about my friend Dagger. Dagger is the owner of a one-of-a-kind, landmark, beloved “mom and pop” health store in New York that has been in business for the past 30 years—and is set to close this week if a miracle doesn’t come.
Dagger has stayed strong all throughout “COVID,” never discriminated against his customers based on their health choices, and remained a beautiful soul in every way. In fact, Dagger was the first person outside my everyday circles whom I hugged in spring 2020, after “COVID.” It was an entire event, a conscious decision to defy fear. I will never forget.
This week, my friend Dagger will have to close his landmark health store if a miracle doesn’t happen. To the best of my knowledge, it has to do with being priced out and his municipal landlord’s desire of “COVID” backpay.
Dagger is a fighter. His store is his entire life. It so happened that in the past few months, he had to be with his mom, who passed away a few weeks ago. As much pressure he was under about his business, he did the right thing and chose to direct his time and his money toward the needs of his mom. God bless her soul.
Dagger doesn’t know I am writing about him. We were going to do an interview in the fall, but then his mom passed away, and Dagger went into grieving, grieving of everything he’d been through. He is stoic. If you talk to him, you won’t know he is trying not to break. But he needs help, he really needs help.
I don’t know if I can help a miracle for Dagger but here is his gofundme.

And here is his Instagram post about it.
Here is his store.
And here is a picture of Dagger from the good ol' days.
I pray for the kindest, sweetest resolution of his woes. Dagger deserves love.
i hope his store survives and that he thrives, eventually.
If Dagger can accept online orders, could you publish his online url for us?
