Thank you for being a part of my life.
This year has been weird but very useful in terms of education about the world and ourselves. I think we have all found in ourselves the abilities that we didn’t know we had, and are moving into the new year as stronger versions of ourselves, which is actually not bad.
I don’t have a lot of lofty words to say but may this coming year be good for us and bring us joy, and a clear head, and victory over our enemies, and true and lasting healing of our loved ones who have been choosing confusion over their best interests. clarity and joy.
I’ll keep it short (for once). Here is one of my favorite posts of this year (last year? who cares, it’s been one big Groundhog Day, accompanied by growth). It is still very much how I feel.
Here’s to love and courage, and wherever you are, remember that you are not alone. You matter (a lot).
Happy New Year to you, dear Tessa, too!
I just posted this as a comment on my latest post (https://margaretannaalice.substack.com/p/dispatches-from-the-new-normal-front/), but I think your readers would appreciate this as well and may wish to join in:
I’d like to make a public service announcement encouraging anyone on Twitter to call out the colossal hypocrisy of the Illinois Holocaust Museum’s new papers-please policy (https://boriquagato.substack.com/p/kitten-corner-immersive-education/). I have posted the following tweets on this thread (https://twitter.com/ihmec/status/1476934101420716034):
Your new exhibit titled “Forever Again” takes performance art to a whole new level of meta.
If this is not a satirical demonstration of ignorant and hypocritical discrimination against “disease-spreaders,” see https://margaretannaalice.substack.com/p/letter-to-a-colluder-stop-enabling to brush up on the history you are repeating.

Maybe you should listen to what a Holocaust survivor thinks about your execution of “Forever Again”:
