This story is one of those extremely imperfect outpours. It’s a follow-up to the one about the anatomy of forgiveness that I sent a few days ago. It was interesting to see the reaction, hence this follow-up.
Punchline
Let me start straight out with the punchline and identify the source of both forgiveness and general calm that seems to work for me.
Here it is (and I am being totally serious): the source is a philosophical, loving understanding of the fact that most people are f*cked up. That is true!
Once you understand it and accept the fact that a whole lot of people are extremely messed up, and you cannot change the world but can only do your—very important—part to shift it a tiny-teeny bit toward harmony, things get easier. The torment subsides. You accept the fact that, yes, most people aren’t in their wholesome state. This is just how it is. It’s been this way for centuries, I am not the first one dealing with it, there is a point to this journey, and nobody—no one person—has the power to speed it up beyond its natural pace. (But it’s important to do our jobs because if we don’t, it’ll slow down.)
Those who are under the influence are my fellow travelers: lovable, often sincere, often wacky af and full of ideas that are fantastical and mad—but even so, they are my fellow travelers, free to choose their path. And without a doubt, there are ideas and choices that sadden me to no end—but philosophically, dogma is dogma regardless of its flavor, and the COVID spell is no different from any other spell, so…
I have no doubt that things will come to harmony in due time, when people get tired enough of living like zombies without love--but for now, most people are f*cked up, and that’s just how it is. So it’s actually far more productive to do my job with love for all good things and leave the rest to the universe (or however you pray).
Difference choices, different psychological states
Here is how, I believe, the world works in terms of people are their state:
At the moment, there is a relatively small amount of people with good intentions who are in the clear, meaning that they are not controlled by hostile entities, and make their choices from who they really are. That is a state that takes a feeling of total love and an absence of ego, more or less. Translation: it’s a lot of work, all the time, no end.
Then, there is a very large amount of people with good intentions who, at this moment in time—and sometimes, for the most of their lives—are partially or significantly possessed (confused, duped, lacking clarity, pick your word).
This, by the way, is not a feature of “natural order of things” or “human nature,” or “being born bad.” “Being born bad” is, in pact, possession-creating marketing by the ones who don’t want people to be in the clear. I have spent many years pondering this situation, and I am pretty sure of that. We are born with a potential to choose good or bad. We have both. That’s the definition of “choice,” and choice is why we are here on Earth!
So, the depressing scarcity of clarity is not “human nature,” it’s a feature of the current time. There is lots of trauma. Lots of baggage from centuries ago. Lots of unhealed emotional shock from forced religions conversions, cruel reforms, revolutions and genocides. There are lots of broken, wobbly, struggling, symbol-clutching adults who don’t know love—and, as a result, lots of children who grow up deprived of knowing what love in the clear feels like, how nourishing it is.There is also a relatively small amount of people who have consciously choose the dark side, and they are stuck on that path for some time. Those are not sincere. They are walking under the same spiritual laws as everyone else but they try to cheat.
Yes, the pain is real
This situation is tough on the people in the first two states.
It is tough on the people who are sincere but under a significant influence because they get duped all the time.
It is also tough on the ones with a strong desire to be in the clear. It is lonely. It takes a tremendous amount of experience and maturing to walk the very thin line where you see and respect the sincere people’s good souls, where you pray for their best clarity and their highest good but when you don’t end up wrecked if they take a long time to get in the clear.
On my end, I have learned the hard way to maneuver this tight rope where, while I see the total pure soul of the person in front of me and hope they’ll choose what’s right, I no longer rely on the fact that the person will chose to act on that pure soul. I believe, I pray, I hope, I provide support that makes sense to me, and I leave it to the universe. Beauty is only beautiful when it’s free.
On the people who choose evil
I am not going to go into the detailed definitions of good and evil, I wrote about it here. For the ease of understanding, what I mean by “evil” is a mode of action that intentionally denies other people their free will, a denial that is usually required to achieve some kind of vampiring success.
Their goal is usually to steal: to deprive, to trick, to violently rob, or to gradually swindle other living beings out of the good things they have.
Small as this category is though, they concentrate in areas dealing with money and power. If you have anything of value—be it money or beauty or influence—it is almost guaranteed that there will be a lot of people trying to find a “key” to you, to vampire you, to influence your views and feelings in their interest and against yours, to manipulate you, or to steal your stuff.
Areas such as finance, politics, institutional theology (almost identical to politics), and impactful movements are infested with vampiring individuals on a perpetual quest to dupe.
They are quite miserable, in my opinion, like a thief who is maxing out on a stolen credit card, who is trying very hard to not get caught but who is worried about getting caught all the time.
Similarly, the ones who choose to walk on the dark side are subject to the spiritual laws. However, they try to maneuver, scam, and postpone the time when they have to pay the price. Which is why they are trying to steal so much all the time. They are trying to first, spiritually justify their thieving behavior by the fact that the ones they trick are, in fact, cooperating with them, and they are also trying to steal enough to pay for postponing the time of facing the spiritual laws for as long as they can. That is why their eyes are so insane. Being afraid of them is not recommended. And hating them is useless. What is useful is trying to stay in the clear, and insisting on love.
On getting duped
There is a misconception that only “stupid” people get duped . Not true at all!
There are methods to dupe highly intelligent people. There are methods to dupe the ones with pure hearts (“prey naivete”). There are methods to dupe people who are vain or insecure (especially those). There are methods to dupe the wounded and the pissed off. There are methods to dupe the poor, and methods to dupe the rich. Really, regardless of who we are and where we are, we are fully dependent on the help from the higher powers, and the moment we think we are some kind of intellectual geniuses, or super successful achievers, we make ourselves vulnerable to tricks.
It is usually not black and white though. Even when one is duped, there is still some beauty, some truth, some kindness, some happiness, some moments of clarity, possibly major accomplishments… life is actually kind. At the same time, the real reality has a tendency to show its face sooner or later--and then, a person who has been running away from one’s own soul experiences pain. Which is not pleasant. But it serves the purpose of reuniting with the real reality and getting in the clear.
I believe that when a person is particularly traumatized, successfully bribed, or uncurious / apathetic toward the philosophical truth, such a transformation may wait until the person is about to die.
I believe that this is what happened to many dear people who passed away in COVID wards, alone, without family members, abandoned by their “security net,” subjected to wrong medical treatment, neglected, sometimes not fed. What happened to them is a crime against humanity—but the Machine that betrayed them had always been there.
On clarity
Staying in the clear is a collaboration between us and the higher powers. It’s a loving collaboration. There is nothing besides love.
By the way, I am yet to meet a person who is in the clear and believes that God discriminates. Just saying so that you watch out. :)
Note to readers: If you are in the position to do so, I very much encourage you to become a paid subscriber or donate. I love you in any case, but it helps A LOT. Thank you from my heart for your support!
Love the article. As you say our job every day is to be kind, recognize that others are struggling, and move the world a little more towards harmony. COVID has taught me, though, to be a little more militant and be more vocal at mistruths perpetrated to keep us in line. Not angry, but resolute, in hopes that others can find their footing too in these odd times.
One of the greatest paradoxes of our time:
everyone's so busy yet most are unable to mind their own business.
