Censorship alert
The world is getting safer with each diverted subscription and with each censored email
There are several things happening in the censorship camp. Some of them have been happening all through my Substack “career,” and some are new.
Seems like my emails typically go to “spam.” Hey, they even go to spam for me!!! Sometimes, they seem to just vanish altogether. A reader told me recently that emails from me weren’t coming at all, not even in spam—and yet I can see that they are being sent. So if you don’t receive an article in a while, please check my Substack—and let me know if you aren’t getting emails.
On the email front, when a reader emails me back in response to an article, and then I write something in response, I cannot send my reply unless I delete the entire article out. Otherwise, the outgoing server refuses to send it, saying it’s spam. Does the same thing happen when you try to forward? Please let me know!
The other day, I could’t even send an innocuous email to a friend (from my own email account) without editing it to where the outgoing server was happy with it. Thank goodness the robots are policing my private emails!
When it comes to social media, forget it. I’ve been censored for ten years. It’s business as usual, no shock there.
Now, the new thing is that Stripe seems to mess with some paid subscriptions, denying new ones and canceling old ones (which is different from when people cancel on their good will). Sasha recently wrote about a similar thing. Please check your subscription and let me know if there is anything fishy. And thank you for being brave you!
I had all sorts of problems with gmail -- changed to protonmail and they all went away. (As far as I know.)
Sorry to hear of your problems with e-mails. If it is of any comfort, I seem to get your posts with no problem so far. James Corbett and others have made the point that we have to have alternative, backup ways of doing things, due to the powers-that-shouldn't-be meddling with the internet. This is especially true for those of us who are interested in finding out what is really going on in the world.
